Press Release - January 2010:
Port Perry local, Bruce Dale, received the shock of his life this week courtesy of Crabby Joe’s Tap & Grill® and Molson Coors Brewing Company. Dale won the grand prize in the Molson 2010 Olympic Games Contest, a VIP all expenses paid trip to the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver for himself and his wife, Marcia, including flights, accommodation, transportation, tickets to Olympic events and access to the Molson Canadian Hockey House. Molson is an official sponsor of the 2010 Olympic Games.
It was impossible for Dale to be “crabby” when asked about winning. “I’m not the type of person who wins anything. This is really a dream come true. To be able to not only go to the 2010 games but also to enjoy some of Molson’s hospitality, it really is unbelievable.”
The Dales will be in Vancouver for three days, February 18th to 21st, and will attend a number of sporting events including men’s speed skating, women’s curling and – what many Canadians would give their right arm to see – a Team Canada hockey game. Owner of Crabby Joe’s, Port Perry, Dave Mounsteven and his wife Rebecca will also be attending the games. Mountsteven remarked, “It’s an amazing prize that we were able to offer, and to have a member of our community win just makes it that much better.”
“We at Obsidian Group Inc. are happy to provide Bruce with the opportunity to attend the 2010 Olympic Games, courtesy of Molson,” commented Nicolas Patiniotis, President of Obsidian Group Inc., franchisor for Crabby Joe’s. “I’m sure this will be an experience he won’t soon forget,” said Molson representative, Ryan Stewart.
