Mississauga Charity Gets and Early Gift

The Dam, a Mississauga charity helping at-risk youth, received an early gift this holiday season – all the proceeds from the Crabby Joe’s Tap & Grill® and Coffee Culture Café & Eatery® 3rd Annual Golf Classic tournament. A cheque for $13,500 was presented to The Dam this week by the Obsidian Group Inc., the franchisor for Crabby Joe’s Tap & Grill, and Coffee Culture Café & Eatery.

“We chose to support The Dam because we wanted our donation to help a charity in the community where we do business,” says Nicolas Patiniotis, President of Obsidian Group Inc., the franchisor for Crabby Joe’s Tap & Grill. “The Dam does extraordinary work helping at-risk youth in Mississauga, and we are very happy to support their efforts through our annual charity golf tournament.”

The Dam is committed to being a welcoming and safe community for youth at-risk. They provide resources and programs that focus on physical, social, emotional and spiritual well-being. The donation will specifically help the drop-in programs where youth are provided with mentorship opportunities.

“We couldn’t continue to do the work we do without the support from our community,” says Carol Reist, Executive Director of The Dam. “We are thrilled to receive this donation, as it will help us continue to offer programs helping at-risk youth reach their fullest potential.”

Joe's menu has something for everyone: burgers, pasta, steaks, ribs, wings, seafood, fajitas, sandwiches, wraps, soups, salads, drinks and desserts. Ontario’s crabbiest family restaurant and bar.
