
To focus on a humorous theme, we created a caricature of a grumpy, old
man – Crabby Joe!
This image allows us to poke fun at ourselves and to encourage our customers
to share a fun visit. We encourage our Franchisees to actively participate
in special community events, sponsoring local sports associations, and
helping charitable organizations. Crabby Joe’s wants to be front
and centre in the community and give back our support to our customers...
This fun theme is also carried through with our customers, encouraging
them to participate in contests such as to jokingly nominate, “The
Crabbiest Boss of the Month”, etc., etc.
From our first location in Ingersoll, Ontario, we’ve grown to 30
locations, spread geographically across Ontario from Chatham to Belleville.
Today we are actively working on three new locations and expect to welcome
up to an additional 8 new Franchisees into our system in the next year.
All of these individual locations will open in Ontario.
Area or master franchise applications outside of this core area will be
carefully considered and selected when both parties (we and you) are able
to ensure there will be proper support to expand new locations.
In any neighborhood there is a multitude of eating establishments. At
no other place however, will you find such fun filled combination of pleasant
décor, good food, reasonable prices, and excellent service.
You’ll find your customers visit Crabby Joe’s frequently –
in many cases more than once a week.

Our cooks are responsible for properly cooking and presenting delicious
appetizers or fantastic meals from the products selected, tested and approved
by our Head Office.
Our Franchisees provide a broad range of skills and backgrounds. Some
have hospitality experience – many don’t. In the latter case,
we help the Franchisee recruit experienced assistants. One common denominator
of all is a real desire and hunger for their own business. Management
and “people” experience is a must.
